ButterflyMX

ButterflyMX emails its invoices, and since its move to a new billing platform on September 2, 2026, they come from allbmxinvoices@butterflymx.com. Each billing email links to a payment portal where you can view and pay your open invoices. Logins and saved payment methods from the old system did not carry over. Expect to create new credentials on your first visit.

The new billing platform

ButterflyMX says the switch was made to deliver invoices more reliably and simplify payment. Billing emails now link straight to the invoice and to the portal. If you can't find a link, email invoices@butterflymx.com and the billing team will send one. Locked out? Open the portal link, go to Sign In/Create Account and reset the password with your email address.

Invoice lookup in the payment portal

The portal shows your open invoices with fewer clicks than before. ButterflyMX's help center doesn't describe an archive of paid invoices, which makes the emailed invoice your lasting copy. Add allbmxinvoices@butterflymx.com to your safe senders so it doesn't land in spam.

Paying a ButterflyMX invoice

  • Without a login: a no-login option still accepts credit or debit cards.
  • ACH: now requires a portal login. ACH, debit and credit cards are all accepted inside the portal.
  • Check (USD invoices): by USPS to ButterflyMX Inc, P.O. Box 718715, Chicago, IL 60677-8715.
  • Check (CAD invoices): to ButterflyMX, Inc., Dept 400286, c/o PNC Bank Canada Branch, Mississauga, Ontario.

The billing FAQ also gives FedEx or UPS lockbox details and Canadian bank transfer details, along with ButterflyMX's HST number for Canadian invoices.

When ButterflyMX issues invoices

Invoices for hardware and software are generated once the agreement is signed. Hardware invoices are due when you are ready to order the equipment. The software subscription invoice comes only after the product is activated, and the activation date starts your annual term. Software renews automatically each year, and the renewal invoice is generated two months before the current term ends. ButterflyMX applies an annual increase to software usage, which explains a higher renewal.

Past due notices and billing contacts

Reminders start at 7 days past due, and suspension warnings follow at 60 days. For invoice or payment questions, call (800) 398-4416, ext 3, or use the billing form; replies come within 1 to 2 business days. Have the property name and address, Building ID, invoice number and account number ready. Send changes to your billing contact to invoices@butterflymx.com so invoices keep reaching the right person.

ButterflyMX invoices filed by building

Hardware, activation and renewal invoices for each intercom arrive at different times of year. Route the allbmxinvoices@butterflymx.com emails to email receipt capture and each one is filed under its building the day it arrives. With the portal login connected, our AI agent can also check for open invoices through bill fetching, and the year's intercom costs are together for tax time.
