How to get a Buildium invoice

Your Buildium subscription invoices are under Settings > Account and billing. Click the invoice you want to view and download a copy at any time. Buildium also emails each bill with the invoice attached as a PDF. Invoices cover one month each; Buildium doesn't offer them for other time frames.
Invoice lookup in Account and billing
The Account and billing page lists your Buildium invoices month by month. Open one to see the full document, then save or print it. Because each invoice is monthly, an annual figure for your books means pulling twelve of them, or adding the payments up from your bank records and keeping the invoices as backup.
What a Buildium invoice shows
- Charges: a breakdown of all monthly charges, each item listed with the quantity used.
- Payments: a separate table showing how much you've paid since the last invoice.
Usage-based items matter here. Buildium collects charges for services such as EFTs and tenant screenings on the 1st of the month. A month with many screenings shows a higher total than the subscription alone.
Changing your plan and the receipt you get
- Go to Settings > Account and billing and click Change subscription.
- Choose the number of units, then click Select under the plan you want.
- On the Review order page, check the subscription and the amount due today. Click Payment information to verify your payment method or switch to a new one.
- Accept the terms and click Confirm order and make payment.
A confirmation screen then shows a receipt for the transaction. Save it; Buildium collects the payment for an increased subscription at confirmation, outside the usual monthly cycle. Moving to a lower unit count? Inactivate the properties you no longer manage first.
Updating the payment method
The Payment information link on the Review order page is where Buildium's help shows a payment method being verified or replaced. Keep the card current. EFT and screening charges are collected on the 1st as well, and an expired card affects more than the subscription.
Buildium invoices collected every month
Twelve monthly invoices plus the odd plan-change receipt is the full Buildium paper trail for a year. Connect your Buildium login and our AI agent opens Account and billing each month, downloads the new invoice and files it as a software expense, through bill fetching. The PDF that Buildium emails can go through email receipt capture instead, and either copy is ready for tax time.
