British Airways

To get a British Airways receipt for a ticket bought directly from BA, use Manage My Booking if you flew within the last 48 hours: the cardholder can view the flight and print the receipt there. Between 48 hours and 12 months after departure, submit BA's receipt request form and its team produces the receipt. For flights more than 12 months old, contact BA Customer Services.

Printing from Manage My Booking

Right after a trip, the booking is still open in Manage My Booking, and the credit card holder has the option to print the ticket receipt. The email receipt BA sends when you book is the other copy to keep. BA's payments FAQ says to look in junk and trash folders for it, and to contact BA if no email has arrived within two hours of booking.

Receipt lookup once 48 hours have passed

After the 48-hour window, the receipt is no longer a print button. BA asks you to submit a request, and a dedicated team prepares the receipt as soon as possible. The form covers flights that departed up to 12 months ago. Older travel goes through Customer Services.

Receipts for bags, seats and extras

Extra baggage, paid seat choices and other extras have a separate request. If the ticket was bought directly from British Airways, complete BA's extras form and the team produces a receipt for those charges.

No VAT invoice for flights

British Airways does not issue VAT receipts for flights. Its payments FAQ states that air travel is not subject to VAT. For British Airways Holidays packages, and for flights sold together with hotels, cars or transfers, BA says it is not permitted to issue VAT invoices. The ordinary receipt is the document to file.

Receipts go to the cardholder only

BA addresses duplicate receipts only to the payment cardholder or PayPal account holder. If an employer or client is paying you back, BA will not create a document in their name with your ticket details and cost breakdown. Submit the receipt in your own name with the claim.

BA receipts kept before the window closes

The one-click BA receipt only lasts 48 hours after landing, and after that it takes a form and a wait. Our AI agent can sign in to your British Airways account and fetch the receipt while Manage My Booking still shows it, through bill fetching. The booking email BA sends is filed from your inbox by email receipt capture, and fare, bag and seat receipts meet on one expense report.
