How to download Salesforce invoices

To download a Salesforce invoice, open the Your Account app in your org, select Go To Invoices, open the invoice number and choose Download Invoice. You need the Manage Billing permission or a Your Account permission set; system administrators usually have it. Credit memos download from the same place.
Go To Invoices in the app
- Open the Your Account app and select Go To Invoices on its home page.
- Filter the list if needed and select an invoice number to see its details.
- Select Download Invoice for the PDF.
Credit memos are in the same place and download the same way.
Who can open it
Users need the Manage Billing permission, or one of the Your Account permission sets for managing subscriptions. System administrators usually have access by default; others can be granted it.
Billing contacts
Each Salesforce contract has a billing contact, and that person needs access to the Your Account app to see the contract's invoices. Grant access from the Contract page or through Setup. If your finance team is the billing contact but has no Salesforce licence, this is the step to sort out first.
The Billing Portal
Salesforce also runs a separate Billing Portal where users can view and download invoices, and where billing contacts are added, removed or updated. Billing questions go to Salesforce's billing team by region.
Contracts and renewals
The Your Account app also shows your contracts, which explains what an invoice is for: the products, quantities and term. Keep the contract with the first invoice of each term.
Salesforce invoices reaching finance without a licence
Invoices emailed to the contract's billing contact can be filed by email receipt capture from that inbox as they arrive, credit memos included. Where invoices only live in the Your Account app or Billing Portal, connect a login with billing access and our AI agent signs in after each billing date and downloads them through bill fetching. Subscription tracking shows the contract's renewal date long before the invoice does.
