How to download FreshBooks subscription receipts

FreshBooks emails a receipt after every successful subscription payment, from info@billing.freshbooks.com to the business owner's email in Account settings. The last year of receipts is also in your account.
Finding them
- Select your profile picture or initials.
- Open Billing and Upgrade, then the Receipts tab.
- Filter by All Time, This Year, Last Year or a custom range.
Downloading
Use the down arrow beside a receipt, or tick several and choose Download PDF from the Actions menu.
What a receipt shows
Your current plan, any add-ons and discounts, and the sales tax charged. FreshBooks charges sales tax based on your card's billing address in certain places, including GST, HST, PST or QST in Canadian provinces and state and local tax in some US states.
Changing the billing address
Under Billing and Upgrade, in Payment Details, select Change next to Billing Address. The new address appears on future receipts; FreshBooks support can correct the address on existing ones.
Older receipts
Receipts older than a year are not in the account. Support can send PDF copies going back 6 years for Canadian businesses and 7 years for US businesses.
Payroll fees
On monthly plans, payroll fees appear as a line on the subscription receipt. Yearly plans get a separate monthly receipt for payroll.
FreshBooks receipts kept past the one-year mark
Each receipt arrives from info@billing.freshbooks.com, and email receipt capture can file it from the owner's inbox the day the card is charged, GST/HST read off. Since the account only keeps a year, connect the owner login too and our AI agent signs in and saves each receipt PDF from the Receipts tab through bill fetching. No support request needed when the accountant asks for last year.
