Invoices for ChatGPT subscriptions bought on the web are in OpenAI's billing portal. Subscriptions started in a mobile app are billed by Apple or Google instead.
Plus and Pro on the web
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Under Payment, select Manage.
- In the billing portal, open Invoice History and download the invoice.
If Invoice History is empty, check that you are signed in to the right account or workspace.
ChatGPT Business workspaces
ChatGPT Team was renamed ChatGPT Business in August 2025; invoices now say Business, with no change to pricing or tax. Only workspace owners can see and manage billing. The owner opens the workspace settings, selects Billing, then Invoices.
Tax ID, VAT ID and billing address
Owners edit billing details from the workspace's Billing settings: name, address and Tax ID. In VAT regions you can identify as a business and enter your Tax ID at checkout, which exempts the purchase from VAT and carries over to future invoices. Changes only apply going forward; for a past invoice, contact OpenAI Support with the invoice number and the details you need shown.
What OpenAI will not change
OpenAI does not change invoice dates, and support cannot convert an existing self-serve Business workspace to invoice billing.
Subscribed through Apple or Google
These invoices do not appear in OpenAI's portal. Check your App Store or Google Play purchase history. Apple emails a receipt each time the subscription renews, to the address on your Apple Account, which may not be your ChatGPT login email.
ChatGPT invoices, routed by workspace
AI subscriptions spread fast across a team, often on personal cards. Connect the workspace owner's login and our AI agent signs in after each renewal and downloads the invoice from Invoice History with bill fetching, VAT or GST line included. Renewal receipts from Apple land in an inbox, where email receipt capture picks them up, and subscription tracking shows who is paying for which seat.
