How to download DigitalOcean invoices

This month's invoice

On the Billing page's Overview tab, the month-to-date summary shows your latest invoice. View it in the browser, or download it as a PDF or CSV. The CSV adds project and tag details, which helps split costs by client or product.

Past invoices

Open the History tab and download any past invoice in the same formats. Organizations find billing history under the Billing menu.

Tax location and tax ID

Your tax location is usually based on your account address, and the Billing page's Settings tab shows it with the rate that applies. Update the billing address, tax location or tax ID in Billing Settings. Address changes show on the invoice immediately; tax location and tax ID changes only apply to later invoices. In several countries a registered business can enter its VAT or GST number to remove the tax, paying it through the reverse charge instead.

From the command line

doctl invoice pdf and doctl invoice csv download a specific invoice, and billing history is also available through the API. Handy for agencies that pull invoices into their own reporting.

Monthly billing

DigitalOcean bills monthly for usage. The month-to-date figure is an estimate until the invoice is created at the end of the month.
