Scotiabank

From your Accounts page in Scotiabank online banking, select the bank account, choose Documents and pick the statement. In the Scotia app, tap the account on the Home screen, tap Manage, then View all statements. Scotiabank gives access to up to seven years of account statements.

Statement lookup in online banking

  1. Sign in and open your Accounts page.
  2. Select the bank account.
  3. Select Documents.
  4. Choose the account statement you want to view.

The Help Centre lists these same steps for the app, classic web and new web versions of online banking.

In the Scotia app

Tap the bank account on the Home screen, then Manage, then View all statements. The list reaches back as far as the online version. The app is handy for checking one month on the go; for saving a full tax year, the larger screen of online banking is quicker, since you can open and save each statement in turn.

Paper statements or eStatements

You can receive statements by mail or as eStatements. Scotiabank's statements centre does not list a fee or a process for ordering copies older than the online window. For that, it points you to the Help Centre or an advisor.

Investment tax documents

If you receive digital investment statements, the tax documents are separate. Go to the Communications Centre, then Tax Documents, to view and download them.

Using a Scotiabank statement for your books

Reconcile each month by matching the closing balance on the PDF to your bookkeeping. Card charges and debit purchases on the statement still need receipts if you claim them, since the statement does not show GST/HST. For a pre-authorized debit form, the void cheque is a different document: see how to get a Scotiabank void cheque.

Scotiabank statements without the monthly login

Connect your Scotiabank login and our AI agent opens Documents after each cycle and saves the statement through bill fetching. Emailed receipts for the same month are found by email receipt capture, and both are ready for tax time.
