How to find an Instacart receipt

In the app

1. Tap the Account icon, then Orders.
2. Tap the order.
3. Tap your delivery address and payment information, then Receipt.

On Instacart.com

1. Select Your orders.
2. Select the order.
3. Select Receipt on the left side of the screen.

Service fee, tip and taxes

The service fee pays for Instacart's operations; it is not a tip and does not go to the shopper. The tip is separate, and all of it goes to the shopper. Pickup orders have no service fee. Taxes are in the order total, and depending on where you are, delivery and service fees can be taxed too. Some markets add a regulatory response fee.

Why the total changes

Replacements and refunds change the subtotal and the service fee. The final amounts appear on the receipt once the order is complete. Items marked Not Charged were removed before checkout, and no refund appears on your statement because you were never charged for them. Refunds for problems with an order show under Adjustments at the top and Charges at the bottom.

Instacart Business

Admins can export receipts in bulk from the team Dashboard: choose a date range, user roles and PDF or CSV, then select Export data. Instacart emails the files. CSV exports include order-level and item-level detail, handy for office supply or snack budgets.

Because substitutions change the total, the checkout screen is the wrong number to expense.
