How to get a Vrbo receipt

To get a Vrbo receipt, log in to your Vrbo account, select your name, choose My Trips, open the reservation and select Payments. That section shows the reservation receipt and lets you download the invoice for the service fee, which is paid to Vrbo. For an invoice covering the rental amount itself, ask the host, since the host receives that money.
Viewing the reservation receipt
- Log in to your Vrbo account.
- Select your name, then My Trips from the menu.
- Choose the reservation.
- Select Payments to view the receipt.
If you booked without an account, create one with the email address on the reservation and the trip appears there.
Downloading the service fee invoice
In the same Payments section, look for Tax and service fee invoice and select Download document. The invoice opens as a PDF. It is the document Vrbo itself issues for the booking. If nothing opens, check your browser's Downloads folder.
Invoices for the rental amount
Vrbo's help center splits the money in two. The service fee goes to Vrbo, and Vrbo invoices it. The rental amount goes to the host, and an invoice for it has to come from the host directly. Message the host through Vrbo and ask for an invoice showing the property address, your dates and the amount paid.
When no receipt shows in your account
Vrbo says that if you cannot access a receipt from your account, you should contact the host.
What to keep for a business stay
A Vrbo stay booked for work can need both documents: the service fee invoice from Vrbo and the host's invoice for the rental. Together they add up to the total on your card. File them as one expense so the amounts reconcile.
Vrbo fee invoices and host invoices together
A Vrbo booking splits its paperwork between Vrbo and a host who may reply days later. Connect your Vrbo account and our AI agent signs in and fetches the receipt and service fee invoice from Payments, through bill fetching. The host's invoice, once it reaches your inbox, is filed by email receipt capture, and the two meet on one expense report.
