To get a Sonesta hotel receipt, sign in to your Sonesta account or look up your reservation, then select the Request Folio link under the past stay. Sonesta calls the folio your invoice. If you cannot locate the reservation, contact the hotel directly for help.
Requesting the folio online
- Go to sonesta.com and sign in, or use the reservation lookup.
- Find the stay under your past stays.
- Select Request Folio.
Sonesta's support page lists this under the question about a lost invoice. The same steps work for any past stay that appears in your account. When the folio arrives, check the room rate, the taxes and any incidental charges against your card before you file it.
Which stays appear in your account
Sonesta's Travel Pass FAQ says your stay history includes reservations made on sonesta.com, in the Sonesta app, or by phone with a Sonesta agent. Reservations made through third-party sites, travel agents or the hotel front desk have to be managed through those sources. If your stay is missing, that is the likely reason. Ask the hotel, or the site that booked it, for the folio. Day-use stays, with the same arrival and departure date, do not earn Travel Pass credit.
Linking a stay to Travel Pass
To add your member number to an existing reservation, Sonesta asks you to contact the Travel Pass team with:
- the hotel name and confirmation number
- your first and last name as they appear on the reservation
- your member ID and check-in date
Points post 24 hours after checkout and can take up to a week.
Paying for another guest's room
If you put a colleague's or client's room on your card, Sonesta requires a credit card authorization form for the hotel. Ask that hotel for the folio afterward.
Sonesta folios without the request link
Each Sonesta folio has to be requested stay by stay, and agency bookings never reach your account at all. Have the folio emailed and email receipt capture files it on arrival. A printed folio from the front desk goes in through the receipt scanner, and each stay is added to the expense report for the trip.
