The Toronto Star sends a receipt by email for your digital subscription. If you can't find it, check your spam or junk folder first. Still missing? Contact Star Customer Support at starsupport@torstar.ca or toll-free at 1-855-687-5915. The Star's FAQ does not describe downloading past receipts from your account. Support is the route for a copy.
When the receipt email doesn't arrive
The FAQ's answer for a missing receipt email is short: receipt emails may sometimes be caught in spam or junk, and if it still isn't there, write or call Customer Support. The receipt answer lists agents from 8am to 4pm on weekdays and 8am to noon on weekends and holidays, although another answer in the same FAQ gives longer hours. Have the email address on your Torstar account ready when you write.
When the Star charges your card
Credit cards are billed right away when you subscribe, then automatically on the same day each month. Starting on October 1 means a charge on October 1 and the next one on November 1. Each receipt therefore lines up with that monthly date, which makes it easy to spot a missing one.
Cancelling, and what a term plan costs
Digital subscriptions are billed one month at a time. The Star asks for 48 hours' notice to cancel, and access continues through the end of the billing month in which you cancel. A term subscription at a discounted rate is different: leaving early costs the regular monthly rate multiplied by the months left. The FAQ's example is 3 months at $14.99, for $44.97 plus tax.
Print subscribers and groups
Star Digital access and the ePaper come with a print subscription, but home delivery is managed through its own subscriber login, linked from the Star's help page. For group pricing, the FAQ says to email starsupport@torstar.ca, and the help page also links a corporate group subscriptions site.
Toronto Star receipts filed every month
With the receipt arriving only by email, the inbox is the archive. Point email receipt capture at it and each monthly Star receipt is pulled out and stored as it arrives. If your employer reimburses news subscriptions, the receipts flow into your expense report, and subscription tracking shows the next billing date before a discounted term rolls into the regular price.
