To get a Medium invoice, click your profile picture on the homepage and choose Settings. In the Membership and payment tab, click Membership billing history, then Invoice next to the payment. The Print invoice button prints or downloads it. This works for memberships paid by credit card or PayPal on medium.com; app store memberships are invoiced by Apple or Google.
Membership billing history, the lookup
- On your Medium homepage, click your profile picture, then Settings.
- Open the Membership and payment tab.
- Click Membership billing history.
- Click Invoice beside the payment.
- Click Print invoice to print or download it.
Putting a company address on it
Before printing, click Edit invoice details to add your own address or your company's. That is the step to take when an employer reimburses the membership and wants the business named on the invoice.
Subscribed in the Medium app
A membership bought in the iOS app is billed through Apple. Sign in to Apple's payment system for the invoice, or find the email sent when you subscribed, titled "Your receipt from Apple." Bought in the Android app? Then Google Play billed it, and the email subject is "Your Google Play Order Receipt." Medium's help points to Google Pay Help for downloading a VAT invoice.
Gift and group gift memberships
Gift memberships are annual only. Once a gift is purchased, you can generate its invoice from your billing history like any other payment. For 11 or more, Medium offers group gifting: you ask support to enable it on your account, then buy at least 11 non-recurring annual gift memberships at $50 each by credit card, PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay in Safari. A receipt for the group gift transaction appears in Billing History on your settings page.
