Sobeys hands you a paper receipt at checkout, and Sobeys doesn't publish a way to look one up or reprint it afterwards. That receipt carries more than the total: it shows the Scene+ points you earned, the offers you used and the tax on each taxable item.
Store receipts
Keep the receipt, or take a photo of it before you leave the parking lot. Thermal paper fades, and a card statement tells you nothing about what you bought or how much of it was taxed.
Returns under the 100% satisfaction guarantee
Sobeys has a 100% satisfaction guarantee: money back or a free replacement on any item that left you unsatisfied, for any reason. For its own brands, including Compliments, Panache and Chalo, Sobeys invites you to bring the product back on your next visit to have it replaced or refunded.
Online orders through Voilà
Sobeys' FAQ says online ordering, for curbside pickup or delivery in selected areas, is done through Voilà by Sobeys. You can sign in to Voilà with your existing Sobeys credentials. Voilà notes that paper bag fees appear on your receipt, and that the pickup service fee shows on the receipt as a "delivery fee". For anything sold by weight, the final price appears on the invoice at delivery or pickup, after the order is weighed.
When Scene+ points are missing
At Sobeys, scanning your Scene+ card doesn't earn points per dollar on its own. Points come from in-store and flyer offers, offers you load before paying, coupons and promotions, or from paying with a qualifying Scotiabank card. Points can take up to 48 hours to post. If your receipt shows points that never reached your account after that, Scene+ asks for a photo of the receipt and the offer details: call 1-866-586-2805 or start a chat at sceneplus.ca.
Points can also be spent at checkout: 1,000 Scene+ points take $10 off your purchase, in store or online through Voilà.
Sobeys Pharmacy
Health, wellness and pharmacy retail purchases at Sobeys Pharmacy also earn Scene+ points on marked items and offers. In Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, eligible prescriptions earn points too.
Keeping Sobeys receipts past the parking lot
Sobeys gives you paper, and the Smartbills app turns it into a record that doesn't fade: one photo and the store, the items and each tax line are read off the slip. Groceries bought for work then go straight onto an expense report with the receipt attached.
