How to get a Proton invoice

Downloading a PDF

1. On a computer, sign in at account.proton.me and open your account settings.
2. Select Subscription and scroll to Invoices.
3. In the Action column, open the dropdown beside the invoice and choose Download.

The PDF shows the invoice status, billing period, plan, cost and any discount or promotion. View in the same column opens a preview where you can download, print or scroll between invoices.

Business name, VAT number and invoice note

The same page has Edit billing address, which takes company information including the business name and VAT number, your first and last name, and a full street address. Edit invoice note accepts payment terms, special instructions or other details. Proton prints these on future invoices; ones already issued keep their original details.

Paying an unpaid invoice

Proton issues an invoice when a paid plan is activated or renewed, delivered on the last day of the subscription period. An invoice marked Unpaid has to be settled within 14 days: find it in the list and click Pay in the Action column, then follow the prompts.

Invoice lookup and statuses

The Invoices list is the lookup for everything Proton has billed to the account, with a status on every row. Proton keeps a separate help article explaining what each invoice status means, for the cases where a row reads something other than paid.

Proton invoices without the desktop detour

Because Proton invoices only come out of the desktop web account, they tend to stay there until someone asks for them. Connect your Proton Account and our AI agent signs in after each renewal and downloads the PDF with bill fetching. Save the business name once under Edit billing address so later invoices carry it, then send each charge to an expense report or keep it for your return.
