How to get a PagerDuty invoice

Only the PagerDuty Account Owner can see billing. PagerDuty emails each monthly invoice to the Account Owner's login address, and the owner can open past invoices from the User Icon, Subscriptions, then View your Invoice in the Invoice section. The most recent invoice is at the bottom of the list.

Find out who the Account Owner is

Go to People, then Users, and look for the Account Owner role. On accounts created from 2023, Global Admins can add user licenses, but billing details stay with the owner.

Send invoices to finance too

  1. Open User Icon, Account Settings, and the Account Settings tab.
  2. In Billing Notifications, enter addresses separated by commas in Invoice Email Notifications.
  3. Click Save Changes.

A separate Additional Notifications field takes up to five addresses for AIOps and PagerDuty AI usage alerts.

Your company address on the invoice

PagerDuty calls this the Invoice Address. From Account Settings, choose Update Payment Information, then Update Billing Information, and fill in the Billing Contact Information tab. PagerDuty's page does not cover tax IDs or VAT numbers, and points to the Billing Team for those.

Purchase order numbers

When adding users under Subscriptions, Add More Users, answer YES to the purchase order question and enter the number, or choose Not Available and add it later. PagerDuty also publishes its W-9 and a vendor form for supplier setup.

Monthly card or yearly invoice

Monthly plans are paid by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or JCB, and the card is updated under Subscriptions, Billing Summary, on the Credit Card Details tab. Paying by invoice is only offered on yearly prepaid plans, through the Sales team. Teams on the PD Reliability Platform can also export a usage report with Download CSV at the top of the Your Subscription page.

PagerDuty invoices without the Account Owner

Add a mailbox that email receipt capture reads to Invoice Email Notifications and every PagerDuty invoice is filed for finance, even when the Account Owner is on call or on leave. If you need the archive from before that, our AI agent can sign in as the owner and download each past invoice from Subscriptions using bill fetching. Seat changes show up in subscription tracking month by month.
