New Relic

New Relic invoices are under Manage your plan in the user menu at one.newrelic.com, where the Billing and invoices section holds recent invoices. You need to be authorized to manage billing, and the account must have been bought directly from New Relic rather than through a third party.

Opening Billing and invoices

  1. Sign in at one.newrelic.com.
  2. Click the user menu and select Manage your plan.
  3. On the right side, select Billing and invoices.

Use the invoice, not the usage page

New Relic calls the monthly invoice the single source of truth for monthly costs. The Usage Summary shows ingest and user counts, but its figures are approximate, and the usage overview stopped showing estimated costs in 2022. Close the month with the invoice.

What a month's charges include

Billable users are charged per calendar month, measured in UTC, with costs depending on Standard, Pro or Enterprise edition. Data ingest is billed by the gigabyte after a free 100 GB each month, rounded up to the next whole GB. Compute capacity and add-ons such as Extended Retention or the EU Data Center can appear as separate lines. A new organization's first month is prorated from its start date, and so is the last month after a cancellation.

Sales tax location

Some jurisdictions get a sales tax line on card charges and invoices. To check or change the country and postal code used, go to Manage your plan, Billing and invoices, then Manage billing. Tax-exempt organizations may qualify for the New Relic Nonprofit Program.

Bought through a marketplace or partner

New Relic's invoice steps only apply to accounts bought directly. If you subscribed through a cloud marketplace or a reseller, the docs do not say where your invoices are. Ask the party that charged you, since that is who issued the bill.

New Relic invoices kept with your observability spend

Connect a login that can manage billing and our AI agent opens Billing and invoices each month and saves the latest New Relic invoice with bill fetching. subscription tracking lines it up with your other monitoring tools so a jump in ingest shows up early. Where the subscription runs through a cloud marketplace, forward that bill to email receipt capture instead.
