Paid HostGator invoices are in the Customer Portal. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select Order History. Tick the box next to an invoice and click Export Invoices to open it in a new tab, then print it or save it as a PDF. Unpaid and upcoming invoices are in the Renewal Center.
Using Order History
- Log in to the Customer Portal.
- Click the profile icon and choose Order History.
- Click Filters to sort by order date or payment method, then Apply.
- Tick the invoice and click Export Invoices.
- Print with Ctrl+P or Command+P, or choose Save as PDF.
Order History shows up to three years. For anything older, contact support by phone or chat.
What an invoice shows
The header carries the account name, account ID, billing address and a unique invoice number. Each charge lists the date, whether it is an acquisition or a renewal, the product, term, amount, tax and tax type. The payments block shows the payment date, order number, method and the last four digits of the card or PayPal ID. Refunds and credits appear in an adjustments section when there are any.
Auto-billing since July 2025
Since July 23, 2025, renewals are charged on the service's expiration date, and HostGator no longer issues renewal invoices in advance. The invoice is created and emailed after a payment succeeds. If the primary card fails, the next saved card is tried immediately, cycling through up to four. PayPal can also be linked for automatic billing. Removing saved cards turns auto-pay off, and you then pay each renewal invoice yourself in the Renewal Center by card or PayPal. A past-due invoice must be cleared before later ones can be paid.
HostGator invoices that arrive after each charge
Because HostGator now emails the invoice only once a payment succeeds, the inbox copy is the natural record. Send it to email receipt capture and each renewal is filed with its tax line. Our AI agent can also sign in and export invoices from Order History with bill fetching, before they pass the three-year window. Sales tax is kept for your tax receipts.
