How to get a Google Play Console receipt

Receipts and invoices

Google emails a receipt after you pay the Google Play developer registration fee. Search the Gmail account you registered with for Developer Registration Fee, or review the transaction in the Google payments center at pay.google.com. Play Console support cannot issue registration receipts or invoices. That email, or the payments center entry, is the only copy you will get.

Registration fee receipt lookup

The fee is paid through GPay with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover (US only) or Visa Electron (outside the US). Prepaid cards are refused. If the email is gone and you need the transaction ID, for example to transfer an app, the payments center keeps the transaction history. Customers normally charged VAT can request a VAT invoice there too.

Earnings reports in Play Console

Go to Download reports and choose Financial. The earnings report lists every payout-related line for the prior month: charges, Google fees, taxes, refunds and adjustments. It is typically ready by the fifth of the following month, as CSV files inside a ZIP held in a private Cloud Storage bucket. You need the View financial data permission set to Global, and the report covers every app in the account. Google advises against using the estimated sales report for accounting.

Matching service fee invoices

In the earnings report, the Invoice ID column on Google fee lines holds the service fee invoice ID, and on Tax lines it holds the tax invoice ID. Google added this to let you tie each line to the PDF invoices you receive. Developers in alternative billing or external offers programs also get an invoice billing report with user charges, service fees and tax per transaction.

Payout timing and the payments profile

Orders, refunds and chargebacks from one calendar month are paid out around the 15th of the next month. Check them under Settings > Payments profile, which updates within 24 hours of a payout rather than in real time. The minimum balance is US$1 for local-currency payouts and US$100 for USD wire transfers. Final amounts with adjustments are shown in the payments center.

Play Console paperwork in one place

The registration receipt is one email that is easy to lose years before an audit asks for it. Forward it to email receipt capture the day it arrives. An employee who paid the fee on a personal card can claim it on an expense report, and monthly earnings files plus service fee invoices belong with your tax receipts.
