How to get a Fastenal receipt

Fastenal keeps two records online. Orders placed on fastenal.com are under My Account > Order History, where each order opens with a Print button. Invoices for your branch account sit on the Open Balances and Statements page, which needs a registered login and an account administrator who has linked the branch account to it.
Order History lookup for online orders
- Sign in and select My Account.
- Under Orders & Requests, choose Order History.
- Filter by date, account number, customer PO or order status.
- Click the order number to open the details.
- Select Print to print the order details page.
The details page shows the shipping and billing addresses, the servicing branch, the PO and job number, each part with its unit price, and an order summary with subtotal, shipping, sales tax and total. Each user sees the orders they created. Account administrators see orders from every user on the account, which is handy when one buyer has to account for a whole crew's purchases.
Open Balances, Monthly Statements and Single Invoice
The invoice side of Fastenal lives on one page with three sections. Open Balances lists what is still owed, Monthly Statements holds the statement for each period, and Single Invoice pulls up one invoice at a time. Fastenal describes the page as the place to view invoices online and print them when you are ready to pay.
Why the invoice page shows nothing
The page lists three reasons a section can be blank:
- You are not signed in.
- No branch account has been authenticated for your login. The account administrator authenticates branch accounts to make them visible online.
- Your user lacks permission for that section. The administrator grants it by changing your permissions.
Approvals and reorders
Users who need order approval can follow the approval status in Order History. The same page has Add to Cart to reorder every line from a past order. Fastenal notes that current pricing and package quantities may differ from what you paid before.
Fastenal invoices tracked month by month
Fasteners and safety supplies get bought in small amounts all month, and the statement is what ties them together. Our AI agent can sign in to fastenal.com and save each statement and invoice through bill fetching. A technician who pays at the counter on a personal card can claim it on an expense report, and the year of statements is ready for tax receipts.
