If you lost a receipt from a DICK'S Sporting Goods store, call customer service at 1-877-846-9997 or use chat to have a copy sent to you, if one is available. For online orders, the order number, confirmation email, pack slip or a return barcode all count as proof of purchase. Returns with none of these get store credit at the lowest selling price, with a valid ID.
Getting a copy of a store receipt
Store purchases go back to any open DICK'S location with the original sales receipt and the credit card or gift card you paid with. When the receipt is gone, the copy from customer service restores the normal return. Have the date, store and card handy when you call.
Order lookup for an in-store return barcode
- Open the return policy page on dickssportinggoods.com.
- Choose In-store return.
- Enter the order number and billing ZIP code, then click Find order.
- Download the return barcode and show it at the store.
Returns without valid proof of purchase
- You receive store credit for the lowest selling price, usable on in-store merchandise only.
- Accepted ID: US or Canadian driver's license, US state ID, US military ID or US passport.
- ID details and return activity are kept in a company-wide database.
- Returns can be denied when the original transaction cannot be verified.
90 days at most stores, 30 at others
DICK'S Sporting Goods, Calia, VRST and Golf Galaxy allow 90 days from purchase, or from shipment for online orders. DICK'S Warehouse and the Going, Going, Gone stores allow 30. With proof, the refund returns to the original payment, except that buy now, pay later, PayPal, mixed tenders and other cases come back as a DICK'S gift card. A gift receipt gets a gift card or an even exchange, and a ScoreCard reward used on the purchase lowers the refund.
Bikes, bats and sealed packages
Bikes have only a 24-hour size and color inspection window, and must be unused with labels on. Used baseball and softball bats are refused. Football helmets, air beds, electric scooters and bikes, mouthguards and fitness trackers cannot come back once opened. Trading cards, custom items, autographed memorabilia and gift cards are final sale.
