What counts as a Crate & Barrel receipt

• Original receipt: a printed store or gift receipt, the eReceipt, or the electronic order confirmation.
• Packing slip from a delivered order.
• Order number for online and phone orders.
• Gift registry number, for gifts bought from a registry.

Order lookup and starting a return

Crate & Barrel's order tracking page lets you track an order, schedule delivery and start a return. Start on the website of the brand you bought from: Crate & Barrel and Crate & Barrel Kids share one site, while CB2 and Hudson|Grace each have their own.

How each kind of proof is refunded

• With proof of purchase, you are refunded on the original form of payment. In-store refunds of cash sales over $100 come as a check by mail.
• Gift card or merchandise credit purchases get a new gift card or merchandise credit.
• A gift receipt or gift packing slip returns the purchase price as merchandise credit.
• A registry number with no other proof returns the item's current selling price as merchandise credit.

Shipping charges are never refunded, and you pay return shipping.

30 days, the holiday window and registry gifts

Eligible items in new, resalable condition can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Items bought from October 15 through December 25, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027, furniture excluded. Registry purchases have 90 days from the event date, again excluding furniture. Personalized items, custom or made to order furniture, NFL items, final sale, floor samples, live botanicals and cut fabric cannot be returned.

One brand, one store

Crate & Barrel items go back to Crate & Barrel stores, Outlet items to an Outlet, Kids items to Crate & Barrel stores, CB2 items to CB2 and Hudson|Grace items to Hudson|Grace. Furniture and rugs need a call to the store of purchase.

Crate & Barrel receipts for restaurants and rentals

Glassware for a bar or furniture for a short-term rental can be returned on an order number alone, but the bookkeeper still needs the receipt with the tax on it.
