Casella

Casella invoices and payments run through a portal operated by KUBRA, with a separate entry point for each state. Open Pay Your Bill on casella.com, select your state, and you are sent to the portal for your area. Inside it you can set your bill delivery to paper or paperless, pay, and enroll in AutoPay. Casella's FAQ adds that a fee may apply if you ask for a paper bill.

Choosing the right state portal

Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont and West Virginia each link straight to a portal. Massachusetts and New Hampshire customers pick the option for their service provider. New York customers pick the link that matches the first two characters of their account number. A property manager with buildings in several states may need a separate login for each portal.

Registering and adding accounts

Casella's payment instructions walk through the portal in five steps. Select Register Now under Login Credentials and enroll. Then open Accounts in the left sidebar and choose Add Account, picking your billing options. Payment methods go in My Wallet. Customers coming from Casella's previous portal reset their password with their existing user ID; the code arrives from kubra.contact@casella.com.

Paper or paperless bills

After the switch to the KUBRA platform, Casella listed managing contact details and your paper or paperless preference among the portal's features, with notices sent by email or text. Since a fee may apply to paper bills, paperless is worth choosing, and the portal's email or text notices then take the place of the envelope.

Paying a Casella bill and setting up AutoPay

To pay once, choose Pay My Bill, pick the account, enter an amount and a date, select the payment method, review and confirm. Casella's FAQ says there is no fee for paying online or by phone, though its convenience fee page describes a KUBRA charge on card payments, covered below. Checks by mail are also accepted.

For AutoPay, clear any past balance first. Then open AutoPay, choose Add Schedule, select the customer number, a payment method and a frequency, pick how you want notifications, and select Create Autopay. A scheduled payment does not replace the invoice; keep each one, since it carries the service period and charges your bookkeeper needs.

The KUBRA convenience fee

Card payments, one-time or recurring, carry a KUBRA convenience fee of 3% with a $1.50 minimum per transaction. Paying from a bank account avoids it, and an existing AutoPay can be moved to a bank account from the wallet. The fee shows on the KUBRA payment receipt, not on your Casella bill. Connecticut and Maine customers are exempt.

Casella invoices on file for each building

With one portal per state and a card fee receipt that lives apart from the invoice, Casella paperwork scatters quickly. Point the portal emails at email receipt capture and each invoice is filed as it arrives. Connect the portal login and our AI agent can sign in for the ones you miss, through bill fetching. Both copies end up ready for tax time.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Casella's portal instructions say to clear any past balance before you add an AutoPay schedule.

For customers who moved over from GFL in the Mid-Atlantic, Casella said the new customer number appears at the top center of the invoice, labeled Customer #, as two capital letters followed by six digits.
