How to download a Recology statement

Recology

Recology is moving customers from its older Pay My Bill site to a newer Customer Account Portal, where you pay, see statements and check your service calendar. Keep using Pay My Bill until your next bill arrives. That bill carries the invoice number and account number you need to register, along with sign-up steps.

Registering for the Customer Account Portal

Select Register in the portal and enter the invoice number and account number from your paper bill. Your service does not change with the switch. Autopay and paperless settings from the old site do not carry over, and Recology asks customers to enroll in both again.

Statements and invoices

Recology uses both words for different documents. An invoice shows the new charges for a billing period. A statement shows the overall balance and recent activity on the account. Commercial and multi-family customers, apartment buildings included, receive both, which matters when an owner asks for the charges of one month rather than a running balance. Bills also carry a Past Balance Due Summary, a log of past balances over the last 90 days.

Statement lookup on the older Pay My Bill site

Customers not yet moved sign in at billpay.recology.com. The home page summarizes current bills, with View for details and Pay to pay. Under Payments, View Payment History lists each payment as Scheduled, Pending, Approved or Rejected, going back up to 6 months. Enrollment needs a paper bill, your bank or card details and an email address.

Paying and setting up autopay

Recology takes major debit and credit cards and checking or savings accounts online, plus payments in person, by mailed check or by phone. For a one-time payment without registering, choose Guest Payment in the portal with the invoice and account numbers. The old site also takes one-time payments without an account and charges no fee for paying online.

To set up autopay in the portal, go to Payment Accounts, add a card or an ACH account, save it, and switch on Primary and Is Auto Pay. Recology still issues the bill on autopay, and that bill remains your proof of the service charges.

Going paperless

Paper bills continue until you stop them under Manage My Account. The change can take 1 to 2 billing cycles. After it, no mailed notices arrive, which is why Recology strongly suggests pairing paperless billing with autopay.

Recology invoices for apartment buildings

An apartment owner on Recology receives an invoice and a statement each cycle, and the 90-day balance log is no substitute for either. Our AI agent can use the portal login to save the invoice and the statement and keep both under the building, through bill fetching. Emailed bill notices go through email receipt capture, and the saved copies are ready at tax time.
