How to find a Discover card statement

Your most recent Discover card statement is available online once you log in to your account on Discover.com. To see up to 24 months of transactions, Discover's help page says to log in and use the Recent Activity and Statement links. In the Discover app, statements are in the Activity section.
Statement lookup on Discover.com
Log in to the Account Center with your user ID and password. The Statement link opens your billing statements, and Recent Activity lists posted transactions. Together they cover up to two years of activity.
In the Discover app
Sign in with the same Account Center user ID and password. The Activity screen works as the app's dashboard: from there you can see recent activity, search and tag transactions, and view statements. The home screen also shows your last statement balance.
Paper or paperless
Depending on your paperless preference, the statement also arrives by mail. A paper statement includes a payment coupon for paying by check. Discover notes that federal law requires a card issuer to send the statement at least 21 days before payment is due.
What each section of the statement shows
- Payment information: new balance, minimum payment and due date.
- Transactions for the billing cycle, with the merchant and amount.
- Fees and interest charged during the period.
- Rewards earned, such as cash back.
Saving Discover statements for taxes
Discover's help pages give 24 months for online activity and do not describe ordering older statements. If a Discover card carries business expenses, download each statement as it arrives and keep it with that year's records. A card used for both personal and business spending is easier to sort when you tag the business transactions in the app as they post, then pull the statement at the end of the cycle. The statement line proves payment; the itemized receipt from the merchant shows what you bought and the tax.
Discover statements saved every cycle
Connect your Discover Account Center login and our AI agent saves each statement after the cycle closes, through bill fetching. Snap the slip for any in-store purchase with the receipt scanner so the Discover line and its receipt sit together for tax time.
