How to check I-PASS transactions and pay an Illinois Tollway invoice

I-PASS customers check their tolls by signing in at getipass.com or in the Official Illinois Tollway App and reviewing the transactions on the account. If a toll was missed, you have 14 days to pay it through Pay By Plate with no fees. After that the Tollway mails an invoice, which you pay online under Review And Pay Invoices with the invoice number.
I-PASS transactions online and in the app
The Tollway says the best way to confirm your I-PASS is working is to sign in and review your transactions. The same account lets you add vehicles, including short-term rentals, and alerts you about out-of-date credit cards and low balances. The help pages describe reviewing transactions on screen; they do not describe a downloadable statement file.
Automatic replenishment
Auto-replenish authorizes the Tollway to charge your credit or debit card a set amount whenever the balance falls below a threshold, and the Tollway recommends it to avoid fees and fines. If a payment fails, you are told by robocall, email, text or postcard.
The invoice schedule
- First 14 days: pay the missed toll through I-PASS or Pay By Plate, no fees.
- Day 30: a first invoice, with a $3 invoicing fee per toll for a passenger vehicle.
- Days 60 and 90: follow-up invoices; the Tollway's fee table adds a further charge per toll on the third one.
Commercial vehicles pay higher invoicing fees per toll than passenger cars.
Invoice lookup, payment and disputes
Select Review And Pay Invoices on the Tollway site and enter the invoice number. From there you can pay any invoice tied to the plate or dispute a plate image that was read wrong. For a toll you believe you do not owe, file a sworn Affidavit of Non-Liability with documents. The Tollway does not accept not knowing the road was tolled or not being the driver as grounds. Payments made to other systems, such as the Chicago Skyway, the Indiana Toll Road or another E-ZPass agency, do not count toward Illinois Tollway tolls. Help is at 800-UC-IPASS (800-824-7277), and the Tollway offers I-PASS Assist and a payment plan request form.
Illinois Tollway records gathered for you
With no statement download, I-PASS activity tends to live only on the account screen. Connect the account and our AI agent signs in and captures your toll activity and any invoice through bill fetching. A mailed invoice can be photographed with the receipt scanner, and work trips on I-90 or I-294 go straight onto an expense report.
