Alectra Utilities

Alectra Utilities bills are in My Alectra, its online customer portal. Once registered, you can view up to 26 months of billing and usage data and download your bills as PDFs. Go to Billing, then My Current Bill, for the latest one.

Registering for My Alectra

You need three things: your account number, your name as it appears on the bill, and a phone number linked to the account. Any number on the account works. If none is on file, call 1-833-253-2872 to add one. Confirmation emails come from NoReply@AlectraUtilities.com and can land in spam. Former My Account users were moved to My Alectra automatically. If your login fails, recover your username first, then reset the password.

Downloading a bill

  1. Log in to My Alectra.
  2. Open Billing and choose My Current Bill to see the summary.
  3. Download the bill and save it as a PDF.

The dashboard also shows your balance, due date and payment history.

Enrolling in paperless billing

Tick paperless when you register, or later go to Account, then Account Information, open the menu beside the account name and select Enrol in Paperless. Under Notification Preferences, add up to two email addresses and two mobile numbers for ebill notices. Unenrol from the same menu to go back to paper.

Former Guelph Hydro customers

Guelph and Rockwood accounts moved to Alectra with a new 10-digit account number. Bills issued before May 2026 are not in My Alectra. They stay in the old MyEnergy View portal, which you log in to with your old 18-digit number. Alectra says the links to MyEnergy View will be discontinued on July 1, 2028. Download those older electricity and water bills before then.

Paying an Alectra bill and Pre-Authorized Payments

Through your bank, online, by telephone or at a branch, add Alectra Utilities Corporation as the payee. A Visa, Mastercard or American Express payment goes through a third-party processor, up to $10,000, for a 1.49% service fee that Alectra receives none of; you need the 10-digit account number. Cheques and money orders, with the bill stub and the account number on the front, go to Alectra Utilities Corporation, PO Box 3700, Concord, ON L4K 5N2 at least five days before the due date.

To make monthly payments automatic:

  1. Log in to My Alectra.
  2. Open Billing, then Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP).
  3. Click the enrolment button and complete the form with your banking information.

Former Guelph Hydro customers pay by card through Paymentus instead, at $2.95 for every $200 paid. With PAP running, the PDF bill in My Alectra remains the record with the HST line, and the one an auditor will ask for.

Alectra bills collected across both portals

With history split between My Alectra and MyEnergy View, it is easy to lose a year. Connect My Alectra and our AI agent signs in each billing cycle, downloads the PDF and keeps it beyond the 26-month window, through bill fetching. Ebill notices from NoReply@AlectraUtilities.com are filed by email receipt capture, and the bills are ready when you claim home office or business costs.
