In U.S. Bank online banking, select Accounts from the top menu; in the app, open the main menu and choose Statements & docs. Pick the document type and the account, switch the year for older documents and select the statement to view, print or download. Up to seven years of e-statements are available.
Statement lookup by account and year
- Online banking: select Accounts from the top menu. App: open the main menu and choose Statements & docs.
- Choose the category of document you need.
- Use the account dropdown to show one account's documents.
- Change the document year to reach older statements.
- Select the document link to view, print or download it.
Downloading transactions for accounting software
Statements are PDFs. For an import into your books, download transactions instead:
- Choose the account.
- In the Transactions tile, click the download icon in the upper right corner.
- Set the date range and pick Spreadsheet (.CSV), Quicken (.QFX) or QuickBooks (.qbo).
- Click Download, then Open file.
Online banking holds up to 18 months of transaction history for download. Downloads are not available in the mobile app.
Activity older than 18 months
For anything past the download window, U.S. Bank points you to your account statements. That makes the seven years of e-statements the long-term record, and the CSV or QBO file the short-term working copy for reconciliation. A practical rhythm: export the QBO file each quarter, before the oldest months fall outside the 18-month range, and save the matching statements by year.
Pairing statement lines with receipts
An imported QBO file gives your accountant the date, payee and amount of each charge. It cannot show the tax on a purchase or what was bought. Keep the receipt for each business purchase alongside the statement month it appears in.
U.S. Bank statements kept beside your receipts
Connect your U.S. Bank login and our AI agent downloads each new e-statement through bill fetching. Card charges you need to justify get their receipts from email receipt capture, and employees can submit them in an expense report without digging through PDFs.
