Tampa Electric, still widely known as TECO, keeps bills in its online account: open Bills and Payments, then View Bill. Paperless customers can view and download each bill there. Paying from a bank account in the online account, or through Auto Pay, is free. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay go through KUBRA EZ-PAY for $2.75 per residential payment up to $1,000.
View Bill: looking up a past bill
Sign in, click Bills and Payments and choose View Bill. With more than one account, pick the right one from the list first. To go paperless, open the Settings menu and select ON next to Paperless Billing. Notices then come by email or text. New registrations need the 12-digit account number.
Payment methods and posting times
- Auto Pay: no fee, paid on your due date.
- Online bank payment: no fee, up to 3 business days.
- Mail: no fee, up to 10 business days, to Tampa Electric Company, P.O. Box 31318, Tampa, FL 33631-3318.
- Your bank's bill pay: fee depends on your bank, up to 5 business days.
- Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay: $2.75 through KUBRA EZ-PAY, up to 1 business day.
- Phone: KUBRA EZ-PAY at 866-689-6469, same fee, up to 1 business day.
- In person: cash only at Western Union for $1.50, sent the same business day if paid by 4 p.m.
Friends and family can contribute through Boost, a secure KUBRA EZ-PAY payment link.
Auto Pay
Create or sign in to your online account. On the Your Account page, add a bank account and enroll in Auto Pay. The payment is withdrawn from that account on each due date at no charge, and you can cancel any time. Text, email or voice notifications can remind you of amounts and due dates. Auto Pay doesn't replace the bill. Download it each month as the record of the charge.
TECO and Peoples Gas are now separate companies
In January 2023, Peoples Gas moved out of Tampa Electric into its own corporation, Peoples Gas System, Inc. The gas utility now has its own site and its own Peoples Gas bill guide. The two still share the TECO online account and the same mailing box for payments.
Tampa Electric bills, saved as they post
Tampa Bay businesses with several meters, or anyone holding both a Tampa Electric and a Peoples Gas account, juggle a list of accounts on one login. Connect the TECO account and our AI agent signs in, picks each account and saves every bill through bill fetching. Paperless notices are filed by email receipt capture, and the bills flow into an expense report.
