This guide covers Peoples Gas in Florida, the natural gas utility at peoplesgas.com. It is not Peoples Gas in Chicago, which is a different utility with its own website. Florida customers view and download bills in the online account at tecoaccount.com. A longer bill history can be requested through the Account Billing Inquiry form.
Downloading bills from your online account
Log in at tecoaccount.com to view your interactive bills and download them for your records. Selecting ON for Paperless Billing there sends bill notifications by email or text. New registrations need the 12-digit account number and 5-digit ZIP code. Peoples Gas uses the same online account as Tampa Electric, even though the two became separate companies in January 2023.
Bill history lookup through the Billing Inquiry form
Peoples Gas lists the Account Billing Inquiry form for questions about your natural gas bill. Pick the information you need from High Bill/Low Bill, Deposit Status, Past Due Account Balance, Account Status or Obtain Bill History, then submit the form.
Paying Peoples Gas
- Bank account: an instant one-time payment from checking or savings, free, through Pay Now on the Bills and Payments page. Your bank details can be stored.
- Card or digital wallet: KUBRA EZ-PAY charges $2.75 per residential transaction up to $1,000. Apple Pay requires being logged in on an Apple device.
- Phone: 866-689-6469, with the same fee.
- Your bank's bill pay service.
- Western Union: cash only, $1.50, sent the same business day when paid by 4 p.m.
- Mail: the envelope in your bill, or TECO, P.O. Box 31318, Tampa, Florida 33631-3318. Overnight goes to Bill2Pay, C/O Peoples Gas, in Clearwater.

Auto Pay from checking or savings
Sign up in your online account. First-time users need their account number to create a profile. On the Your Account page, add or remove bank accounts and turn on Auto Pay. Funds are withdrawn on each statement due date. Each statement is still issued and downloadable, and it is the gas bill to keep with your expenses.
Peoples Gas and Tampa Electric bills from one login
Florida restaurants and homes with gas water heaters often hold a Peoples Gas account next to a Tampa Electric one on the same TECO login.
