How to download a Maritime Electric bill

Maritime Electric bills are viewed in MyPower, the online account. Registering gives you access to up to twelve months of bills, counted from the date you register, along with your billing summary, payment history and consumption history. Paperless billing can also be requested through your bank.
Paperless billing
Complete the MyPower registration form and select paperless billing when asked how you want your bill. MyPower then emails you when each online bill is ready to view. Maritime Electric advises making account changes through MyPower only.
Bill lookup: the twelve-month window
Because the history starts on your registration date, bills from before you signed up won't appear. Register early, and save each bill if your records need more than twelve months. The consumption history beside the bills helps explain a winter spike when you compare one season with another.
Ways to pay
- Telephone or online banking: add Maritime Electric as a payee and allow up to 7 days.
- At your bank: major banks and credit unions on Prince Edward Island, with up to 7 business days to arrive.
- Card: Visa or Mastercard online or by phone through Paymentus, with a 1.75% fee per payment and 3 to 6 business days to post.
- Payment Centres: locations across the Island, from Tignish to Souris.
Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
Send the Pre-Authorized Payment Form with a void cheque or your bank's own form, or sign up in My Power. The Equalized Payment Plan builds on it: equal pre-authorized debits on each monthly due date, the same amount for 11 months, then a 12th payment adjusted to the remaining balance or credit. To check whether you are already enrolled, call 1-800-670-1012 or log in to My Power. Bills keep arriving under either plan and are the records to keep.
Maritime Electric bills beyond twelve months
MyPower's twelve-month window rolls forward every month. Connect your MyPower login and our AI agent saves each bill as it is issued, with bill fetching. The bill-ready emails can be filed through email receipt capture, and the bills for an Island cottage or rental build up for tax receipts.
