How to download a Liberty Utilities bill

Liberty bills are viewed and paid in My Account, reached from the Liberty site for your state and service. Its View My Bill page gives a snapshot of the latest bill, your payment history, and your billing program and rate designation. A one-time payment from a checking account in My Account is free, while card payments go through a vendor for a fee.
Pick your state and service first
Liberty runs water, gas and electric utilities in several states, and each one has its own site at libertyutilities.com with a community selector. Fees, mailing addresses and phone lines differ between them. Liberty's pages also differ on how much history My Account holds: one cites 24 months of billing history, and another says history builds from the May 2023 bill onward.
Bill lookup in My Account
After you sign in, View My Bill shows the most recent bill and payment history. Liberty's site adds a sample bill and a glossary of terms for reading each line. Registration asks for your Liberty account number.
Ways to pay, from the New York Water page
- My Account: fee-free one-time payments from checking, or scheduled automatic payments.
- Without registering: a one-time payment with your account number, with transaction fees.
- Card by phone: 1-877-426-6999, through a secure payment line, with a $1.75 vendor fee. Representatives can't take card details themselves.
- Mail: the bill stub with a check payable to Liberty.
- Cash: at authorized payment locations. Search for Liberty Utilities and your state to find agents with no convenience fee.
Autopay and paperless billing
Automatic payments are scheduled in My Account to avoid late fees. Paperless sends an email or text when a bill is ready to view and pay online. Liberty notes that paperless billing does not sign you up for AutoPay and is not a way to pay. The bill is still issued each cycle with autopay on and stays the record of the charge.
Bill copies for a third party
If a relative, trustee or social service organization handles your bills, Liberty can send them a copy of each bill plus reminder, past-due and shut-off notices. Add the third party in My Account or through customer service.
Liberty bills across states and services
An owner with Liberty water in one state and Liberty gas in another has two Liberty sites to check. Connect each My Account and our AI agent fetches every new bill with bill fetching. Paperless emails can be filed through email receipt capture, and the bills are sorted by property for tax receipts.
