How to download a Helcim statement

The front page summary

Page one totals sales, refunds, the number of chargebacks, total fees and the net amount deposited to your bank. It also includes an Interchange Plus Savings estimate. Compare the net deposit figure with what actually reached your bank account to confirm no batch is missing.

Fees by card brand

The payment summary splits item count, sales amount, fees and effective rate by card brand. The effective rate is fees divided by sales for that brand, a quick way to spot which cards cost the most to accept.

Interchange, network costs and Helcim's margin

The fee breakdown separates interchange costs, card brand network costs and Helcim's processing margin, then details each in its own table. Interchange and network costs pass through from the card networks; the processing margin is Helcim's own charge to you.

Daily batches and deposits

Each card batch lists sales and refund counts and amounts, net sales, fees and the net amount. With net deposits, the batch net lands in your bank. With gross deposits, net sales arrive and the fees leave in a separate withdrawal, the line to match against the statement. ACH payment details and card chargebacks or reversals get their own sections when they apply.

What happened to Business Statements

Helcim discontinued its separate Business Statements in July 2022 and moved their information into the Merchant Statement. Anyone following an older checklist that asks for both now needs only the one.

Helcim statements next to your bank deposits

On gross deposits, the fee withdrawal reaches the bank feed with no detail attached.
