How to download a Halton Region water bill

Halton Region water and wastewater charges appear on your local hydro bill. The Region partners with Burlington Hydro, Halton Hills Hydro, Milton Hydro and Oakville Hydro, and you view the bill, pay it and sign up for eBilling through that utility's account. Residential meters are read and billed every two months.
Which utility sends your bill
- Burlington Hydro, 905-332-1851
- Halton Hills Hydro, 519-853-3700
- Milton Hydro, 905-876-4611
- Oakville Hydro, 905-825-9400
Halton sends questions about readings, billing and payments to the hydro utility, not to the Region.
The water lines on the bill
The water portion has two parts: a monthly service charge set by meter size, and a usage charge from your meter reading. Most homes are billed every two months, and twice the monthly service charge shows on each bill. Halton's Water and Wastewater Bill Estimator helps check whether a bill looks right.
Bill lookup and eBilling through your hydro
Halton points residents to each hydro utility's own eBilling sign-up, which is free and replaces the paper bill. Past bills sit in the same hydro account, next to the electricity charges. Halton also links to a sample bill from each of the four utilities.
Paying and automatic payments
Water charges are paid through the same account as your electricity, using whatever payment and pre-authorized options your hydro utility offers. Payment arrangements, including while you are away, are also made with the utility. Whatever the method, the hydro bill is still issued each cycle and remains the record of the water charges.
Property owners and tenants
An owner can assign a third party, such as a tenant or property manager, to hold the water account. Billing and payment notices can then go to that account holder. Unpaid water and wastewater charges can still be added to the property's tax bill and collected from the owner, with priority lien status under the Municipal Act, 2001. On a sale, the hydro utility handles the final meter reading and the transfer.
Halton water charges across four hydro utilities
An owner with units in Oakville and Milton tracks the water charges on two different hydro bills. Connect each hydro login and our AI agent fetches both bills, water lines included, with bill fetching. When a tenant holds the account, the eBilling emails they forward can go to email receipt capture, giving the owner a copy for tax receipts.
