Ferrellgas describes its online filing as up to 24 months of billing history that you can access, save or print. Its FAQ is more cautious and says statements older than 18 months may not be available online. Save each statement when it arrives rather than counting on the archive. A missing statement may mean you are on Paperless Billing, or that the balance was paid before a statement was generated: statements are only produced for balances or credits over $5.

The proof of delivery is not the bill

The driver leaves a proof of delivery showing gallons and price. Ferrellgas then mails the invoice, or makes it available electronically if you use Paperless Billing. For bookkeeping, the invoice or statement is the document that counts.

Registering with the right account number

To register on MyFerrellgas you need your account number and billing ZIP code, then a code sent to your email. If the site replies that the account is not a Bill-to account, you entered a delivery account. The Bill-to account ID is in the upper-right corner of your statement.

Paying a Ferrellgas bill and AutoPay

Ferrellgas does not accept cryptocurrency, Venmo or Zelle. AutoPay deducts the bill from a bank account or credit card but requires credit approval first, by calling 888-337-7355. With AutoPay on, the statement still arrives and remains the record to file. If Pay Bill does nothing, allow pop-ups in your browser.

Budget billing

Budget Billing spreads a year of propane over twelve equal payments, based on the higher of the last 12 months of charges or the two-year average. The amount is recalculated every six months and shows on the statement a month before it changes. Accounts 60 days past due are removed from the program.
