How to download a past DTE Energy bill

Copies of your last five delivered DTE Energy bills are available in your online account at dteenergy.com, and DTE asks you to email dteenergy@dteenergy.com for bills older than six months. To pay, use Guest Pay at payment.dteenergy.com without signing in, the DTE Energy app, the 24/7 line at 800-477-4747, a kiosk or the mail. AutoPay pays each bill on its due date.
Past bill lookup: five online, older by email
Signed in, My Account History holds your billing and payment history. The bill copies stop at the last five delivered. Anything older than six months becomes an email request to DTE rather than a download. Ask early if a tax preparer needs a full year.
Guest Pay for your bill or someone else's
Guest Pay works for your own account or another customer's. Identify the account with the holder's last name and service address, or with the account number. Guest Pay does not allow a split payment. Card payments carry a processing fee charged by Paymentus, the third-party processor, and DTE receives no part of it. The fee applies per account and per card.
Other ways to pay DTE
- Online account or app: checking, savings, or an eligible Visa, Mastercard or Discover card. Pay now or schedule a date.
- Phone: 800-477-4747, automated and open 24/7, with your account number ready.
- Mail: DTE Energy, P.O. Box 740786, Cincinnati, OH 45274-0786, with the payment coupon. Allow five days.
- Kiosks: cash or a personal check from a U.S. bank, no processing fee, posted the same day, in English, Arabic or Spanish.
- Authorized pay agents: cash, check or money order. Some add a service fee that DTE does not receive.
AutoPay and eBill
To enroll, sign in and go to My Payment Programs, or call 800-477-4747. AutoPay takes a bank account or an eligible card on the due date, there is no card payment maximum with AutoPay, and the card processing fee still applies. Switch methods later under Manage AutoPay. With eBill Paperless Billing, the paper bill stops unless the account is in shut-off status. The electronic bill keeps coming, and it is what proves each month's charge.
DTE bills before they leave the five-bill window
Five bills is under half a year. Bill fetching has our AI agent sign in to DTE Energy each month and save the newest bill, which spares you the email request for older copies. Forward eBill notices to email receipt capture, and send business-use energy costs to expense reports.
