How to download a past Consumers Energy bill

Past Consumers Energy bills sit on the Account History page of your online account: select View Bill next to the statement you want. To pay, sign in for a one-time payment, use Guest Pay without logging in for a $2.99 fee, call 800-371-9811, text PAY, or mail a check. Auto-pay from a checking or savings account carries no fee.
Bill lookup on the Account History page
Account History is the list of past statements, and View Bill opens each one. eBill adds a full PDF copy of the bill in one click, plus text or email reminders when the bill is ready and when payment is due.
Guest Pay and phone payments
Guest Pay at consumersenergy.com/make-a-payment-guest asks for the account details from the bill, then your payment method. It charges $2.99 for every payment type. The guest phone line, 866-329-9593, carries the same fee and also works for paying someone else's bill.
For your own account, 800-371-9811 takes same-day payments. A bank payment through an agent is free, as is the automated system when a bank account is already stored. Cards cost $2.99 per payment, with a $1,000 cap per card payment.
Fee-free ways to pay
- One-time ACH payment from checking or savings, online or in the app.
- Your bank's bill pay, with Consumers Energy as the payee at PO Box 740309, Cincinnati, OH 45274-0309.
- Pay by text: turn on billing and payment text alerts under Alert Preferences in Account Details, then reply PAY to the monthly notice. Text payments take bank accounts only.
- Mail a check or money order to the Consumers Energy Payment Center at the same PO Box, with no staples and no cash.
Auto-pay versus Easy Pay
Auto-pay deducts each bill from a checking or savings account with no fee. Enroll on the auto-pay enrollment page, in the app or by phone, after adding the bank details to your account. Easy Pay is the card and digital wallet version: it charges $2.99 per residential payment, emails a reminder seven days ahead, and can be cancelled before the next due date.
Both still generate a monthly bill. That bill, not the bank or card statement, lists the energy charges an accountant will ask about.
Keeping Consumers Energy bills on file
With bill fetching, our AI agent signs in to your Consumers Energy account after each cycle and saves the bill from Account History, one PDF per month. The eBill reminder can feed email receipt capture, and the Michigan home office or rental share of gas and electric costs stays ready for tax receipts.
