How to get a Zipcar receipt

Zipcar trip charges are in your account. Sign in, click Billing in the top menu and select a trip or transaction to see its details. To export everything over a period, select Download Activity and enter a date range. Business accounts that pay monthly use Invoices instead, where each invoice opens as a PDF or CSV.
Billing: the trip lookup
- Sign in to your Zipcar account.
- Click Billing in the top navigation.
- Select a trip or transaction to view the details.
Zipcar says every charge is shown on the account billing page or sent by email, which makes Billing the place to match a card line to a specific trip.
Exporting your transaction history
Download Activity on the Billing page takes a start and end date and returns every transaction in that window. It is the fastest way to hand a quarter of car share costs to a bookkeeper in one file.
Monthly invoices for business accounts
Accounts billed monthly have an Invoices item in the top menu. Every invoice except the current one shows whether it is paid or unpaid, and each can be viewed as a CSV or a PDF.
Tolls and other late charges
Zipcars use pay-by-plate for tolls, and you are responsible for every toll on your trip. Zipcar may receive tolls from the authority weeks later. The toll appears in the list of charges for that trip, is billed separately to the card you booked with, and triggers an email each time. Violations can arrive late the same way. An unclear line on your card statement, a short code with a date, is usually a recurring fee or one of these delayed charges.
Zipcar charges captured trip by trip
Because tolls and fees land weeks after the trip, a Zipcar expense claim is rarely complete on the day you return the car. Connect your Zipcar account and our AI agent signs in and picks up each trip summary and later charge through bill fetching. The toll emails are filed by email receipt capture, and everything joins the original trip on your expense report.
