How to get a Udemy receipt

To get a Udemy receipt, click your account picture at the top right of Udemy.com and choose Purchase history. Next to each course you will see a Receipt, Invoice or Credit Note link. Open it and print, or save it as a PDF from your browser's print options. Udemy also emails a receipt at the time of purchase.
Purchase history works as the receipt lookup
- Log in at Udemy.com.
- Click your account picture, top right.
- Select Purchase history, near the bottom of the menu.
- Click Receipt, Invoice or Credit Note beside the course.
- Use your browser's print command, or choose save as PDF.
Each document carries the transaction date, the order number, the course title and any tax you paid.
Receipt, invoice or credit note
Invoices appear for purchases that included transaction taxes and were made after March 2020. A credit note is the refund document: it shows what was paid back from the original purchase, and credit notes exist for taxed purchases refunded after March 2020. Scroll to the bottom of Purchase history to see every refund you requested, when it happened and how much it was. Refunds paid partly in Udemy Credits are flagged there too.
Tax always appears
Udemy says legal obligations require it to show the tax charged on every transaction. A receipt with the tax removed is not available. If your business does not pay that tax, Udemy's answer is a Udemy Business account rather than a personal purchase.
Team Plan invoices
On a Udemy Business Team Plan, only account admins see the company's invoices. Go to Manage at the top right, then Subscription & Billing, then Billing. The Payment History on that page has an invoice and a receipt for each payment, and both include your VAT ID. To change the company details on future invoices, click Edit billing information. Invoices already generated stay as they are; Udemy's support team handles corrections to an issued invoice.
Udemy courses filed as training costs
A single course is easy to lose track of, and the claim usually comes weeks later. With your Udemy login connected, our AI agent visits Purchase history and keeps every receipt or invoice through bill fetching. The purchase email Udemy sends is picked up by email receipt capture, and the course becomes a line on your expense report with the tax amount Udemy printed.
