How to get a Railway invoice

Railway invoices are in the Billing History section of your workspace's billing page at railway.com/workspace/billing. Choose the right workspace with the Workspace Switcher in the top-left corner first. Receipts and invoices go to the billing email set for that workspace, which can differ from your login email.
Opening Billing History
- Sign in and pick the workspace in the Workspace Switcher.
- Go to the billing page for that workspace.
- Scroll to Billing History and open the invoice.
Billing email, address and Tax ID
The Billing Info section of the same page holds the payment method, billing email, billing address and a Tax ID / VAT number. Railway asks workspace admins to check the address, Organization Name and Tax ID because they drive tax assessment. Personal users can leave Organization Name and Tax ID empty. When sales tax or VAT is collected, it appears as its own line on the invoice.
Reissuing an old invoice
New billing details only apply to future invoices. To fix an old one, update Billing Info first, then click the gear icon next to the invoice and select Re-issue. The new version shows up in Billing History. Railway also suggests a reissue when an invoice says it can no longer be paid on Stripe. If the reissued invoice has not arrived within 24 hours, ask on Central Station at station.railway.com.
When Railway charges you
Each invoice combines the plan's subscription fee with resource usage, and usage is billed in arrears. Railway may also charge part of a bill earlier in the cycle as a fraud control. Deleting the account cancels the subscription at once and produces a final invoice for usage since the last billing date. An invoice under $0.50 with no credit balance is marked paid and the amount carries to a later invoice.
Railway receipts filed per workspace
Set the workspace's billing email to the mailbox that email receipt capture reads and every Railway invoice is filed with its Tax ID and tax line the day it is sent. For reissued invoices, which only appear in Billing History, our AI agent can sign in and collect them through bill fetching. A Hobby plan paid personally for a client project fits in expense reports.
