GitLab invoices are in the Customers Portal, GitLab's separate site for subscriptions and billing. Sign in and select Invoices in the left sidebar. Billing account managers can pay and download invoices there, and every invoice is emailed to the billing contact on the account.
Pay or download in the Customers Portal
- Sign in to the Customers Portal.
- Select Invoices in the left sidebar.
- Download the invoice, or select Pay for invoice to pay it by credit card.
For another payment method, use the Contact us page to reach the Billing team.
Billing contact versus subscription contact
The subscription contact, also called Sold to, owns the subscription and gets notices about it. The billing contact, or Bill to, receives all invoices. A billing contact does not get portal access unless they are also a billing account manager. To change the billing contact, open Billing account settings, then Company information, and pick the subscription contact, another manager or a custom contact such as an accounts payable address.
Add a billing account manager
In Billing account settings, select Invite billing account manager under Billing account managers. Managers can see subscriptions, payment methods and settings, and can pay and download invoices. Invitations last seven days, with at most 15 pending at once.
Company name and tax ID
Go to Billing account settings, scroll to Company information, edit the company name and tax ID, and select Save changes. A valid tax ID can let customers outside the US get reverse charge instead of VAT or GST on the invoice.
Renewals and reseller purchases
Purchases need a credit card on file, and automatic renewals charge the default card. The default card cannot be deleted in the portal. The Billing team can do it. If you bought GitLab through a reseller, the reseller issues the invoice and you request copies from them.
