Buffer invoices and receipts are at the bottom of Plans & Billing. Click your profile avatar in the bottom left, choose Plans & Billing, scroll to Invoices & Receipts, click View next to a charge and pick Download invoice or Download receipt. Buffer also emails a download link after each payment.
Steps
- Click your profile avatar in the bottom left of the dashboard.
- Select Plans & Billing.
- Scroll to Invoices & Receipts.
- Click View, then download the invoice or the receipt.
Business name, address and tax ID
On the same Billing screen, Additional Information lets you change the name printed on invoices and receipts, update the billing address through Update Information, and add a tax ID if you are a business.
Channel changes on the invoice
On Buffer's newest plans, you pay per social channel. Adding a channel mid-cycle triggers an immediate prorated charge for the rest of the period, and each added or removed channel slot appears as its own line on the invoice, along with credits and discounts. The billing date never moves. A plan that started on March 17 bills on the 17th every month.
Subscribed in the app?
Buffer cannot issue receipts for subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Get them from your Apple purchase history or Google Payments instead. If your team bought Buffer on a phone, that is why nothing shows in Plans & Billing.
Bank transfer and billing dates
Customers paying by bank transfer cannot change plans or channels while a payment is pending. Buffer doesn't change billing dates from the dashboard. For either, contact hello@buffer.com.
Buffer charges collected after every channel change
Each new channel can mean a separate prorated charge. Send Buffer's payment emails to the address email receipt capture reads and each one is filed with its invoice. Our AI agent can also sign in and download invoices and receipts from Plans & Billing with bill fetching. subscription tracking shows how channel count moves the monthly cost.
