How to get a beehiiv invoice

Steps

1. From the Dashboard in the left panel, scroll down and click Settings.
2. Select Billing & Plan.
3. In Billing Details, click Update Billing Info.
4. In the Stripe portal, open Invoice History and click the icon beside the date.
5. Click View invoice and payment details, then download the invoice or the receipt.

Invoice or receipt?

Download both. The invoice shows the plan and the period. The receipt confirms the card payment. Accountants usually want the receipt to match the bank line and the invoice to support the expense.

Several Stripe accounts

beehiiv uses Stripe for its own billing and for identity checks. Depending on how you monetize, you may also see other Stripe accounts, for paid subscriptions you sell to readers, for example. Only the portal reached from Billing & Plan holds what you pay beehiiv.

Ad Network and paid recommendations

Money flowing the other way does not come with invoices. Ad Network and paid recommendation transactions are recorded in the beehiiv wallet, which exports a CSV of all transactions. Keep it with your income records, separate from the plan invoices.

If an invoice is missing details

beehiiv's article does not cover a tax ID field. If an invoice lacks something your accountant needs, use Ask beehiiv in the left panel to open a support ticket, or submit one from the Help page.

beehiiv receipts saved from the portal

beehiiv keeps its invoices a few clicks deep inside Stripe.
