1Password

1Password emails every invoice as a PDF to the family organizer or team owner who created the account, and keeps all of them on 1Password.com. Sign in, select Billing in the sidebar, open the Invoices tab, choose View Invoice, then Download or Email to me.

When 1Password creates an invoice

A new invoice is generated whenever something changes what you pay: starting or renewing a monthly or yearly subscription, adding or removing people, or switching billing frequency. On a team account, adding a few people mid-term produces its own invoice, separate from the renewal.

Who can see the Billing page

If the Billing page is missing, you may not have permission. Billing is open to the family organizer, the team owner and anyone in a group with the Manage Billing permission. Subscriptions started as an in-app purchase on a Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android device are managed with Apple or Google instead, and those stores collect any tax.

Send invoices to accounting and add your company

  1. On the Invoices tab, select Invoice Settings.
  2. Under Invoice Recipients, enter the addresses that should receive future invoices. They do not need to be members of your 1Password account.
  3. Under Invoice Customization, add details such as your company name or billing address, then select Save Settings.

Customization applies to every invoice from then on, and you can open an earlier invoice to save a copy that shows the new details.

Sales tax, GST and the invoice lookup

1Password is based in Toronto and charges tax by billing address. In Canada, GST, PST, QST or RST may apply, and any tax appears as a line item on the invoice. A tax-exempt organization adds its business name to invoices, then emails proof; in Canada that means a tax number such as a PST or RST number. The Invoices tab is your lookup for everything already billed.

1Password invoices routed to the right inbox

The simplest setup uses 1Password's own recipient list: add the address your Smartbills workspace watches, and email receipt capture files each PDF with its tax line as it arrives. For history from before that change, connect the account and our AI agent downloads past invoices from the Invoices tab with bill fetching. The GST or QST paid is then ready for your input tax credits.
