How to get a Bitwarden invoice

Bitwarden generates an invoice and a receipt for every paid subscription, and they live under Billing history in the web app. Premium account holders find it under Settings, then Subscription. Organization owners open the Admin Console, then Billing. Only those people can view or download the PDFs.
Unpaid invoices and paid invoices
Billing history has two lists. Paid Invoices holds receipts, created as soon as a payment is processed. Unpaid Invoices holds charges Bitwarden could not collect, and invoices for business plans such as Enterprise that pay by invoice. Each document shows the billing email, the amount for the period with tax as its own line, the number of paid seats for organizations, and the payment method used.
Where to click for each account type
- Premium: in the web app, go to Settings, then Subscription, and select Billing history.
- Families, Teams or Enterprise organization: open the Admin Console, then Billing, then Billing history.
- Provider: open the Provider Portal, then Billing, then Billing history. A CSV there breaks down assigned seats client by client.
Self-hosted deployments get their invoices through the cloud account connected to the deployment.
VAT or GST number and organization name
Owners can edit the billing address, including a VAT or GST number where applicable, under Billing, then Payment details, then Edit billing address. The organization name printed on invoices is changed under Settings, then Organization info, the same place as the billing email.
Invoice lookup for finance staff
Billing history is the lookup, and it is limited to owners. Bitwarden suggests assigning at least one additional owner so billing stays reachable if the current owner leaves. The holder of the billing email can also contact Bitwarden to ask about invoices and the billing information on file.
Bitwarden invoices without sharing the owner login
Because only owners see billing, invoices often sit with one admin. Connect that owner account and our AI agent signs in after each renewal and downloads the paid receipt from Billing history with bill fetching. A Premium seat paid on a personal card can be claimed through an expense report, and the tax line goes to your tax records.
