Nutshell

Nutshell subscription invoices are in Billing Settings: go to Settings, Administration, Billing and select View all to download any of them as a PDF. This page is about what you pay Nutshell, not the invoices you create for your own customers in Nutshell.

Downloading past Nutshell invoices

  1. Go to Settings, then Administration.
  2. Select Billing. You can also open app.nutshell.com/setup/billing directly.
  3. Select View all to list your full billing history and download each invoice.

Any administrator can view payment amounts and dates. Come back here whenever an invoice email was missed or deleted.

When Nutshell invoices you

Billing is automatic: you are invoiced and charged on your monthly or annual billing date. Adding users also creates an invoice, which explains one that lands between billing dates. When the user count changes during a month, a Due next invoice box on the billing page shows what the following month will cost.

Email Marketing on your invoice

The Email Marketing add-on is priced on your marketing contacts and billed monthly only. On a monthly CRM plan it sits on the same invoice as the CRM, with the first month prorated to your CRM billing date. On an annual CRM plan, expect two kinds of invoice: the yearly CRM charge and a separate monthly Email Marketing bill.

Billing email, address and payment method

Admins edit billing details on the same page. The billing information section asks for a billing email, billing phone, country, street address, city, state and postal code, and Nutshell recommends keeping that email current so subscription notices reach someone. Payment can be a credit or debit card, or a US bank account through ACH. PayPal, checks and wire transfers are not accepted. Nutshell's help center does not describe putting a tax ID on invoices; ask support before counting on one.

When the account changes hands

Nutshell treats the account as owned by whoever's billing information is on file. A new owner takes over by entering their card or bank details on the billing page, and an admin promotes the new administrators from user settings.

Declined payments and cancelling

After a declined charge on your billing date, the account stays open for 10 days while Nutshell warns you by email and in the app. It is locked after that and cancelled after 30 days without payment. Closing a paid account starts from Plan usage and support on the Billing page, and access lasts to the end of the current cycle: download the invoices you need before then.

Not the invoices you send

Invoices you send your own customers live under Sales, Invoices in Nutshell. Those are sales documents for your books, not proof of what you paid Nutshell.

Nutshell invoices in the books every month

Nutshell's invoice emails can go straight into email receipt capture: forward them to the capture mailbox and each one is filed with its amount and date. For the PDFs behind View all, connect an administrator login and our AI agent signs in to Billing Settings and downloads each new invoice through bill fetching, mid-cycle user additions and Email Marketing bills included. A Nutshell subscription paid personally is claimed on an expense report.
