Dominion Energy

Past Dominion Energy bills are in your online account, where you can view, download and print them. Dominion's account FAQ mentions up to 12 months of bill history, while its eBill page lists up to 24 months of bill payment and usage history. You pay from the same account. The pages used here are Dominion's Virginia pages; North Carolina and South Carolina customers select their state on the site.

How far back you can go

The two figures come from two Dominion pages. The account FAQ says you can compare bills from the past year by signing in to view, download and print up to 12 months of history. The eBill page promises up to 24 months of bill payment and usage history. To be safe, download each bill within its first year.

eBill

With eBill, an email tells you the bill is ready and you can print a paper copy from your online account. Turn-off or delinquent notices still arrive by U.S. Mail, and Budget Billing and AutoPay keep working alongside it. Enroll by signing in to your Dominion Energy account, or through one of more than 3,000 participating banks such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Navy Federal Credit Union.

eBill text alerts

  1. Sign in to your online account, or create one.
  2. Enroll in eBill and follow the prompts for eBill Text Alerts, or select Enroll Now next to eBill Text Alerts on the My Account Overview page.
  3. Reply YES to the confirmation text.

One text arrives when the bill is ready and another three days before payment is due, on up to three mobile numbers.

Natural gas in North Carolina, Ohio or Utah

Dominion's site sends natural gas customers in those three states to Enbridge Gas. Look there for those gas bills.

Paying a Dominion Energy bill and setting up AutoPay

For Virginia customers, the no-fee route is a One-Time Online Payment from checking or savings after signing in, now or on a future date. Pay as Guest runs through Paymentus and costs $1.65 per residential payment, the same fee as paying by phone at 866-366-4357. Dominion offices do not take payments; Authorized Payment Centers do, for a $1.50 fee paid in cash. The Dominion Energy app, your bank's website and a mailed check are the other options.

AutoPay pays the bill from your bank account every month at no charge. Choose Sign in to Enroll on the Pay My Bill page and finish the setup inside your online account. The eBill keeps arriving each cycle after that. Save it rather than relying on the bank withdrawal: only the bill shows the kilowatt-hours, the service address and the charges an expense or rental-property claim needs.

Dominion bills saved before they slip away

Many Dominion customers already add a bookkeeper as a Guest User. Bill fetching goes a step further: our AI agent signs in and saves each bill while it is still inside the history window, through bill fetching. The eBill notice can feed email receipt capture, and the power bills behind a Virginia home office are ready for tax receipts at year end.
