Your Emirates receipt is the electronic ticket. Once a booking is paid, Emirates sends a confirmation email with the ticket attached to the address you gave when booking, and you can print it from that email or through Manage a booking. For a tax invoice, Emirates has a separate Tax Invoice Request Form, which only covers tickets bought through Emirates direct channels.
The e-ticket email
Every ticket bought on the Emirates website is issued as an electronic ticket. After you confirm your flight, personal and payment details, the site shows a summary with your booking reference and ticket, and the confirmation email follows with the ticket attached. Each traveler, including children and infants, gets an individual ticket. Keep the email for every person you expense. Emirates also asks you to present your receipt with your passport when you check in at the airport.
Reprinting through Manage a booking
Emirates says that to print your ticket for your own records, you can find the booking reference in its email or by going to Manage a booking. Travelers who are not Skywards members can view their itineraries on the Manage Your Booking page.
Requesting a tax invoice
- Open Emirates' Tax Invoice Request Form in the Help section.
- Select the country where you bought your ticket. If you bought it online, select the country your itinerary started from.
- Complete the request for your booking.
The form is for tax invoices only. Refunds, Skywards Miles claims and profile changes each have their own form in Emirates Help.
Tickets from a travel agent
Emirates can only issue tax invoices for tickets bought through its direct channels. If an agency issued your ticket, Emirates sends you back to that travel agent for the invoice.
Emirates tickets and invoices kept together
An Emirates trip leaves two documents in different places: the e-ticket in your inbox and, when you ask for one, a tax invoice from a separate form. Email receipt capture files the e-ticket email for each traveler as it arrives. The invoice joins the fare on an expense report, and the tax figures are kept for tax time.
