How to get a TaxJar receipt

TaxJar subscription receipts are on the Plan & Billing page. Go to Account, then Plan & Billing, find the payment under Subscription Payment History, and click View for a detailed receipt you can print. If you pay for TaxJar through Shopify or Square, the charge appears as a line on that platform's invoice instead.
What Plan & Billing shows
The page keeps a record of every payment you made to TaxJar, along with your monthly order history and receipts. Use the order history to understand a charge before you question it.
Flex fees on a receipt
A receipt can show flex fees next to the subscription and any AutoFile fees. Flex fees apply only when you go over your plan's monthly order limit; TaxJar uses them to cover importing the extra orders and processing them into state sales tax reports. TaxJar does not count them as subscription payments. Choosing a plan that matches your usual order volume avoids them.
Credits after a plan change
Switching plans takes effect immediately. TaxJar credits the unused time on your old plan against the new one and charges the difference to your card; a larger credit carries forward. The credit is visible on your receipts in Plan & Billing.
Sales tax on TaxJar itself
TaxJar collects sales tax in states where it has nexus. New purchases show the tax on the subscription receipt email, and the monthly invoice breaks out state sales tax. Take the tax figure for your own books from that invoice rather than from the plan price.
Receipt lookup for Shopify and Square users
When billing runs through Shopify or Square, sign in to that account to see the TaxJar line on its invoice; Plan & Billing in TaxJar will not hold those charges.
TaxJar receipts filed with the returns they support
Online sellers pay TaxJar to stay compliant, and the receipt itself is part of that paper trail. Connect your TaxJar login and our AI agent signs in to save each receipt from Plan & Billing through bill fetching. Receipt emails are filed by email receipt capture, and flex fees can be tracked against order volume on expense reports.
