Mailgun invoices are in the Control Panel under Plan & Billing. Click the Profile drop-down at the top right, choose Plan & Billing, open the Invoices tab and click an invoice number to see it.
Steps
- Log in to the Mailgun Control Panel.
- Open the Profile drop-down at the top right.
- Choose Plan & Billing.
- Open the Invoices tab and click the invoice number.
What period an invoice covers
The invoice is generated on the 1st of each month. It covers usage from the first day of the previous month at 00:00:00 UTC to the last day at 23:59:59 UTC. The time zone you set for logs does not apply. Emails sent late on the 31st from North America can therefore land on the next month's invoice.
Reading the four sections
- Summary: the plan, the amount due and any previous balance carried over.
- Plan Summary: what the plan includes, such as messages, validations and IP addresses.
- Message Details: total messages processed and the overage rate.
- Email Validation Details: validations processed and their overage rate.
A $0.00 invoice means a Free plan with no charges that month.
Usage by subaccount
In the Invoices table, the Usage link beside each invoice breaks the month down by subaccount. Agencies that give each client its own subaccount can use it to recharge sending costs line by line. Usage stats refresh every 24 hours.
No annual plan, but prepayment
Mailgun has no official yearly payment option. It does accept prepayments, with a minimum of $1,500, £1,500 or €1,500, and prepayments are non-refundable. To set one up, open a support ticket. Keep the prepayment receipt with the monthly invoices that draw it down.
Mailgun invoices saved on the 1st
Mailgun invoices sit in Plan & Billing until someone opens them. Connect the Control Panel login and our AI agent saves each new invoice after the 1st with bill fetching, subaccount usage included. subscription tracking shows overage months at a glance, and a developer who paid for a sending plan on a personal card can claim it through expense reports.
